Self Transcendent Leadership LLC is a boutique Leadership Development Firm based in New York and founded by Matthias Birk.

Its focus is on "deep" leadership development: meaning programs, retreats, workshops and coaching sessions that fundamentally transform how leaders think, feel and show up. It does so by addressing core underlying beliefs, mindsets, fears and behavioral habits that are no longer serving the leader.

At the core of its work is the premise that leaders' excessive self-orientation is often the key culprit. And that by working with leaders on their ability to connect deeply and compassionately with their teams, customers and stakeholders, and to develop an authentic purpose and vision, they become more trusted, relatable, and real. As a result leaders can inspire true followership, raise their teams' spirits and abilities, and create holistic and meaningful impact.

This realization is based on over a decade of teaching leaders at Columbia Business School and NYU, as well as developing leaders at organizations such as Amazon, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Google, McKinsey & Company, Ralph Lauren, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, WPP and the United Nations.
